Through the quick insertion and removal of microneedles into the surface of the skin, the production of collagen and elastin is stimulated, encouraging healthy and stronger skin.
Collagen is the most abundant protein found in the human body and is responsible for holding together connective tissues like skin, muscles, tendons, cartilage and bones. It is also the protein which keeps us looking young. Unfortunately, it’s believed that collagen production slows down by about 1% per year after the age of 20, which is the result of ageing.
Treatments can be used anywhere on the body and is very popular on the upper chest for creased skin or skin damage and stretch marks, and scars on the abdomen, thighs or buttocks. We tailor this treatment to suit your skin type and concerns, a course of three-four treatments, once every four-six weeks is normally required to obtain optimal results, more may be required for deeper scarring.
After rolling you may experience erythema, warmth, mild oedema, and petechia for about three days, but most people usually return to their normal activities the same day, or the next day. There is also a small risk of temporary bruising.
Depending upon the condition of your skin, a course of 3 treatments is generally advised. Deeper scarring or very thin skin may require up to 8 treatments. We advise maintaining your results every 6 -12 months with a single “booster” treatment.
